Introducing the new Vodafone K3565 OEM HSDPA modem exclusively powered by Malaysia’s largest 3G service provider, Celcom with their mainstream product, Celcom Broadband.
The Huawei E169 look-alike is furnished with the reloaded original Huawei Mobile Partner software, in line with the rising popularity of Huawei products through out the world. Just like any other products such as Huawei E160G, E172, E156G as well as E169, Huawei had made this latest stick model with USB interface, auto-installing driver, and the most important, it is fully unlocked for any 3G SIM cards available around the globe!
The model also comes with a single slot for external antenna, but I doubt whether the UMTS external antenna for this type of connector is yet available. It’s good to see this product provides the Micro-SD slot for flash memory up to 4GB, just like its pioneering brothers, E160G and E156G.
One of its features that came to my attention is the capability of this USB stick modem to enable voice function, which is subject to 2G/GSM service integrating availability by providers. Unlike Sierra 875 PCMCIA which requires specific headset to match the modem’s connector, we can use any standard headsets connected to the computer using this modem with hassle free. Interestingly, this model comes with 18-month warranty and may be registered online from www.myhuawei.com for authenticity check.
